Attention San Leandro Rental Housing Providers:
The San Leandro City Council will hold a work session to review the draft Rent Stabilization Ordinance and related cost options, review recent public outreach from August and September, and receive public comments.
We encourage all rental owners to attend this important work session in person or provide written comments if you cannot attend. Send your written comments on the proposed ordinance: rentprogram@sanleandro.org

Here are EBRHA's main points that the city should consider for the ordinance:
- 5% Flat Annual Rent Increase Cap - Do not tie rent caps to CPI - It doesn't take into account operating cost increases
- Owners with 4 or fewer units are exempt from the ordinance
- Mandatory Mediation before any evictions go to court
This is a critical opportunity for rental housing providers to share their perspective and ensure their concerns and experiences are heard before decisions are made. Your attendance and participation are crucial.
