Code Compliance For Rentals

The ACHPRC Rental Housing Forum is pleased to host Edward Labayog, Assistant Planning Director and Code Enforcement Manager for Alameda County’s Community Development Agency, for a special webinar on December 3, 2025 at 12pm.

Code Enforcement plays a critical role in maintaining safe, habitable rental housing across unincorporated Alameda County. In this session, Edward will walk attendees through:

• What triggers an inspection and how the process works from start to finish

• What to expect when working with County investigators and staff

With seven investigators and dedicated administrative support, the Code Enforcement Division works daily to resolve issues that impact housing quality and community well-being.
