EBRHA Legal Fund
Fund Contribution Options

This past year, we witnessed a historic moment this year as the housing provider community, led by EBRHA, took a stand to end draconian and unconstitutional eviction moratoriums in Alameda County. Our efforts not only made national headlines but also shifted the narrative as public opinion recognized the unprecedented challenges and unfair policies that were put on rental housing providers.
THE FIGHT ISN'T OVER
While the eviction moratoriums are over, there are new battles on the horizon that threaten our investments and livelihoods. These challenges include:
- The restoration of hundreds of millions of dollars in back rent to owners
- TOPA legislation
- Aggressive renter protection laws
- Organized malfeasance by renter activists, who often use our own taxpayer dollars against us.
OUR GOAL
To continue our success and strengthen our movement, EBRHA needs to build a legal war chest to protect our members from these ongoing and persistent onslaughts. Our fundraising goal for 2023 is to raise $120k. To kick things off, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a series of fundraising events this year and launching an online campaign to build the EBRHA Legal Fund. The first event is scheduled for Thursday, October 12, and we hope to see you all there!
Your support is crucial in securing the future of housing providers and preserving the vital role we play in providing quality housing. An upfront investment in EBRHA’s Legal Fund ensures a preemptive defense against new taxes, fees, laws, legislation, and policies that threaten our industry – potentially costing every rental property owner thousands of dollars to operate each unit owned. Together, we can make a difference and ensure our community thrives.
